Saltspring Island

This little island was a short drive from Genoa Bay and we spent our Saturday walking around the shores and checking out their famous farmer's market. On the trip up I expected this place to remind me of the San Juans, or maybe Acadia, but it was truly like no place I'd ever been and I can't even describe it. It felt so far away from the hustle and chaos of our daily lives. Even the ferry moved slower. We are home now. . . rested and thankful.
