The Banana Belt

I spent the last three days on Lopez Island in the San Juans (for our New England friends it is a little like your Mount Desert Island). The beaches are strewn with polished round rocks and the uplands are dotted with madrona trees and rolling rock outcroppings. Jason and I honeymooned in the San Juans (different islands) and it was great to be back. Now I am home, glad to be back with Franco and Jason.
