First plantings of 2009

This weekend I tilled our first of four vegetable garden beds and planted
- Shelling peas
- Lettuce blend
- Spinach

The garlic (below) has pushed through the thick mulch and is hopefully good to go. There is slight frost damage, hence the roving cloche.

I was probably a little anxious to get seeds in the ground. . . given we have several inches of snow this morning. Darn. Over zealous gardener.

I'm headed across the pass tomorrow for work . . . and then hopefully spending a couple hours at Mission Ridge in some fresh powder!
