Four Months

Dear Tru,

This month you fell in love with your daddy. And he fell in love with you back. When he talks your entire face lights up and you give him a huge heart-melting grin. Or you stick your tongue out at him and that makes him laugh. And then you laugh. And everyone in the house is happy.

You discovered your feet last night and we sat in the bed with you watching you try to munch on your toes and then realizing they were attached to your body. Watching you learn new things is so incredibly fun and interesting for us. Every time I turn around you are discovering a new part of your world.

We started a new tradition this month - taking you to the swimming pool and eating homemade pizza on Friday nights. This is kind of exciting for our family because in our six years of marriage, your daddy and I have not been very good at traditions. But now every Friday we do the exact same thing and it is peaceful for our family to know just how our week will end.

Things you are loving:

--You love to sleep! Just kidding! You wake up every 90 minutes and DEMAND food RIGHT AWAY. Some days you decide to go on strike from napping altogether and we literally have to tie you down and put a hat over your eyes to get you to take a snoozer.

-- You love to eat! And I love to feed you. So that works out great.

--You love to keep one or two fingers in your mouth at all times. Just resting on your tongue, watching the world pass by.

-- You love to hear the roar of my scooter when I am coming home from work. Except that one time you heard a roar, and then a giant VROOM and then a crash. That was me crashing my scooter into the barn.

-- You love when Franco gives you a big ol kiss on the face. You think that is a pretty neat party trick and you might try doing it back sometime.

Truman, you are our sunshine and we love you so much.
