The sun and the rain and the apple trees

We have spent the week picking apples for a cider party this Friday. If things go my way I will be drinking hard cider (and not vinegar) at my 30th birthday next month. Jason discovered a tool that has allowed us to test the sugar content of apples, which is pretty amazing. I had to practically talk him down from a tree and then out of the barn last night because he wanted to taste-test and sugar-test every apple.

The dogs are actually becoming picky about the apples they eat. They leave the bitter ones and go for the sweet ones. I guess it is easy to be picky when there are hundreds of apple trees.

These are a couple pics from the full moon last week.
